Shopping Tips !!!!!!

Since we fixed a budget on maternity & baby shopping !!! We did not unnecessarily buy stuffs, even though it was so tempting at times. I pretty sure all of us would be very excited while maternity or baby shopping. Especially if you are expecting you 1st baby which would lead you to over spending. Here's how we did our maternity & baby shopping with a budget.

1. MATERNITY CLOTHES

<3 Of course when you are pregnant especially for the 1st time, you immediately feel like wearing those cute maternity outfits and so on, even I was excited & I did get myself  few outfits. Since wearing jeans is a NO NO during pregnancy I had to get some comfy pregnancy sweat pants for myself, So I got 2 pants, 3 tops & 1 dress. The outfits that I got are all re-usable after delivery. Hence, it's not a waste. I didn't find them cheap as well, nothing below RM 49.00.Those are the only outfits that I got myself, besides that I am able to wear most of my normal tops as I did not gain any weight.

<3 I had issues with my regular bra so I decided to get myself few good maternity bras, So I went to mOdernmum in bukit raja jusco. Nothing was less than RM 99.00. I got myself the cheapest one which was RM 99.00 . I thought of going again to buy another, but thank God I came across maternity bras in AEON it self, I got shocked to see Scarlet brand maternity bras from RM 15.00 on wards. Of course with no design or lace work, but who cares !!! The material seemed soft so I got myself 2 of it and guess what !!!!! It actually prefer the RM 15.00 ones than the RM 99.00 ones !! It was very soft and comfy. I'm in love with them. Now some of you may wonder if it's necessary to get maternity bras. Actually it's not ;) but if you experience any discomfort from your normal bras then it is. Besides, during breastfeeding the maternity bras would help alot more than normal bras simple because it has like a clip on each side in the front to make it easier to feed your baby. Which saves you the trouble from buckling and unbuckling the back of it.

P.S : IT'S ACTUALLY CALLED NURSING BRA lol !!!!!!

OK ok Let's move on to the baby's stuffs !!!

2. BABY'S CLOTHES

<3 As for baby's clothes I did check out a few places before getting them. I went from GM ( Wholesale Mall ) to Mother Care in Setia City Mall. The prices are almost the same, 4 sets of rompers for RM 130++
Which was alil pricey. I actually don't really fancy spending so much on newborn clothes simple because they would out grow super fast. Anyways I did get 1 - 2 sets of rompers from Mother Care, Which now I regret after getting a better buy from FOS !!!!! Can you believe it FOS sales newborn clothes ?! I didn't even know they do :p !!! In FOS for the same materials I got 3 sets of rompers for only RM 30.00 !!!! YES !!!! RM 30 !!! Can you see the differance ? RM130 - RM 30 ???? Phewwwwwww ok *positive vibes in* on the other hand thank God The rompers that I got from Mother Care were all big size, 3-6mos or more !!! So Im happy bout it.!

for immediate use outfits I got them from FIFFY & MANJAKU for about RM 8.90 each. Those are the full white ones.

P.S : FOS pricing was not during SALE time !!! That's their normal price !!!!

3. MILK BOTTLES

<3 When I went to the milk bottle section I was so shocked seeing the prices of the milk bottles !!!!!!!! RM 100.00 ++ each ?! Whattttttt??? It says that expensive ones nipples are similar to mother's nipples !!! Now here's what I feel, the baby would get use to whatever we introduce to them !!! It's not that only the ones similar to original nipples would work !!!! I didn't go for any branded milk bottles by the way !!

4. BREAST PUMP

<3 I would suggest never to rush and invest on a breast pump simply because it is super expensive !!! Plus some may not work for you! So do alot of research before getting yourself one! I'm yet to get mine as well, but it's better to buy and keep it so that you could pump of the milk & store it for a rainy day !! Maybe one a day where you are working or down with fever or so on !

5. OTHER ACCESSORIES / ITEMS

<3 Other accessories / items which are consider secondary needs can be put to hold. Such as nursing scarf, baby pouch & so on. I didn't buy any secondary needs yet.

6. SECOND HAND ITEMS

<3 Thanks to my dad for buying my niece a cradle when she was born which was hardly use. So yes !!!!! I get that for my lil princess, which means I saved alil there. Try to find some 2nd hand items like so as you could save alot from there but we careful & give it extra checks before getting it.

7. BABY PRAM

<3 I have not the baby pram yet !!! As obviously for the 1st month the baby ain't going anywhere !! So I'll wait and see if I get this as a gift :p if not then I'll get her one like the above pic !!! That pram is for infants as well as toddlers plus you could use it a carrier. I find that cool !!!

Quick Tips :  Do Not Get ALL the baby's items in a selected colour ( Pink or Blue ) so that you could reuse                     it for your next baby.

Do Not Over buy Things as you many get many gifts from friends & families, wait and see
what are the gifts received and then decide to buy what you want.

Well That's all !!!! Hope my shopping tips helps you <3

What's In My Hospital Bag ???!

Taaaaaaa Daaaaaaaaaaa !!!! I finally bought a huge bag to pack mine & baby's stuff for the hospital. Got the bag from FOS. It was RM 49.00 but lucky me when during their "happy hour sale" and got it for about RM 35.00 !! Which was a pretty good deal. The bag is really huge and there's space for ample of things in it !!!

So yeah !! From the moment I entered my 7th month, my mum has been telling me to pack a bag and keep in case of any "emergency". I didn't find myself any suitable bag until last month, So the moment I got the bag, I started to pack all my stuffs and our lil bundle of joy's stuff as well. I did watch some videos on you tube on how some ladies packed their bags for their delivery... I found some carrying to much of stuffs.

According to the doctor my stay would be almost a day or two. So I decided to pack just enough for a day or two. If I ever need anything extra, I'm sure my husband would get it for me since our home is not far away from the hospital.

I would like to share with you on What's In My Hospital Bag so that it may help you during your time ;)

So here are the items I packed !!!

For Myself <3

3 Sarongs
3 Baggy T'shirts ( got them from FOS too !! RM13 each ) super baggy & comfy
My maternity bra & panties
A light weight towel
A woolen sweater ( got it from Cotton On ) also super comfy !!!
2 Pairs of woolen long socks
1 Pack of maternity pads ( The hospital will be providing it but I'm just taking a pack just in case )
A few pairs of breast pads
Tooth brush
Colgate
Johnsons & Johnsons travel kit ( Inclusive of powder, shampoo, baby bath & lotion )
Vicks
Minyak Cap Kapar
Lip balm ( I read that our lips would get very dried after delivery )
A small comb
Hair Band

and yeah I guess that's it.

As for my lil princess <3

I was told that the hospital does not allow own clothes for the babies.
So till we are in the hospital she will be wearing the hospital cloths.

I only packed

2 sets of full rompers with matching mittens & booties ( for her trip back home )
a cap
a baby stomach binder
a baby wrapper
2 diapers
a baby towel

and that's it, this is only for her discharge use as throughout our stay in the hospital, Her cloths & diapers would be provided by the hospital.

That's pretty much everything packed in the bag. Packing the bag in advance is so much easier, as you don't have to rush last minute.
Like my bag is packed and placed in a cabinet near the door in case of any emergency I could just grab the bag and get going ;)

I hope my list of things packed would help all other pregnant ladies out there <3
