Woooohoooooooooo !!! I'm officially considered "full term" now !!!!! My visits to the gynae has become once a week !! Which freaks me out a little. Well my last checkup was yesterday, where we did a check on my glucose, pressure and so on and *touch wood* everything is in perfect reading !! NO DIABETES ! NO PRESSURE ! NO WHATSOEVER ! hahaha.. The gynae gave me a second shot of anti tetanus jab, As usual did a scan and seems to that Our lil princess refuses to show her face. Still tarik harga.
One thing is for sure !!! She's goinna have her mami's ( My sis in law ) nose !!! Nice lovely long sharp nose...huhuhu.
Doctor says that I should be careful from now on, any discharge, continuous contraction or burst of water bag I should rush to hospital, anyway I am all prepared and nothing to worry. I just wanna finish my last bridal which is on the 1st of June and then I'm ready for the hospital.
I'm pretty relaxed " so far " hehehe, I leave it to God and I'm sure everything will go on smoothly <3

Ikan Bilis Sambal Craving & Cheat
I have always been a sambal lover. As usual being preggy has made me even more a WEIRDO. I have been craving so much for ikan bilis sambal specially made either by my mother or my Aunty Fatimah. The two aunties of mine who make the BEST SAMBAL EVER is Aunty Fatimah & Aunty Viji !!!!!!
So yeah all of a sudden I have been craving for aunty fatimah's ikan bilis sambal. So I told her lovely daughter, my sister Sopiah to bring in some during my "Bangle Ceremony" and she agreed, She came for the ceremony and told me that she had brought and left it in the kitchen. Once the ceremony was over and all went back as usual I was feeling HUNGRY and I remembered that the she "SO CALLED" brought the sambal. So I went to look in the kitchen for it. My mum & aunt came up to me asking what was I looking for and I explained to them, then they tell me we just cleaned the kitchen and did not see anything. So I called her up then asked her where did she leave the sambal ? I then called up my angelic sis and she tells me, I brought it in a white container and left it in the kitchen. I said NO there's nothing like that... & yet she could do a drama saying hmm don't tell me someone packed it back ? After a long convo of her crap she finally said hehehe I'm sorry dear I forgot to bring the sambal but I promise to bring it soon !!!!!!!!! YES PEOPLE !!!!!!!!!!!! this lady had cheated a preggy woman !!!!!! *Tears Burst Out From My Eyes As I Type This* huhuhuh ok being dramatic LOL.
But I made her feel so bad that the following "month" she herself cooked and brought for me my sambal !!!! Though it was not so nice as my Aunty Fatimah's preparation !!! It was good huhuh just joking. The sambal was excellent & as usual I finished the whole dish by myself.."LITERALLY".
Now the highlight of the whole Ikan Bilis Sambal thinggy is.....my husband is bugging me to ask my sister or aunt to make the sambal for him as he is all of a CRAVING more than me !!!! He keeps on reminding everyday about it.... So here I am !! Indirectly telling u AKKA !!!! :p
P.S No matter what !!! You are the BEST sister ever & I love you so much !!!!!!!!! <3

3rd Trimester ( The Diet Time )
Being in my last few weeks or maybe days of my pregnancy, I realize that as much people encourage you to eat and eat during your 1st & 2nd trimester, they don't really encourage you to do so during the 3rd !!!
Which is a sad thing for me !! because, I'm not so sure if this is only with me or if most pregnant women experiences this. Out of the all the 3 trimesters, the last trimester is the only one I really have the urge to eat especially from the 8th & 9th month.
I would be fast asleep at night and suddenly get up with severe gastric pain & I would end up stuffing myself till the pain goes away. The reason why the elders advice us not to eat much during this period is because, we don't want the baby to be over weight. Which will lead to difficulty for or during normal delivery.
I was advice by the doctor that an average baby's weight should be from 2.5 kg - 3.5 kg which is 5.5 pounds to 7.7 pounds. If the baby is beyond that it purely depends on me how well I work in pushing the baby out, which has high chances of going for a ceaser. Which I don't want to have !
So for the 1st time in my ENTIRE LIFE I am some how controlling my diet as in checking on calories and so on before consuming it. LOL !!!!! I have quit fast food !!! reduced carbohydrate drinks ( one glass a week ) I eat smaller meals. I consume more liquid diet, walking as much as I can, doing light exercises. Should be fine I guess hehehe
As well as I don't mind having this baby girl out anytime after the 1st of June 2014 so that she doesn't stay in and gain more weight hahaha. As long as shes healthy that's the most important point.

One Down One More To Go
I'm super excited today as I have become an aunt once again!!!! WOOOOOHOOOO !!! YES!! my sister in law who was due 10 days apart from me delivered today evening at 6.56pm to a gundu gundu baby boy.
Even though this is not my 1st experience of seeing the whole process..This one was more of a meaningful one to me as it was like seeing my future in the present !!!
Thanks to all the reading I have been doing I was excited in seeing and exploring the gadgets around her..
She got admitted at around 12pm and from 2pm we were all in the hospital. The doctor broke her water bag around 1'ish ... and her contractions slowly started... she was 2cm dilated at that point of time. Unlike her 1st labour, she was straight taken to the labour room from the time we went. We were not allowed in but of course we kept sneaking in now and then. At around 5'ish the nurse checked and she was 6cm dilated... We were all even more excited. I was hoping Murali ( my husband ) would make it before she delivers.
I have no idea actually how we all sat down there for that long. The chairs were so uncomfy!! Can u imagine being preggy and sitting straight up on a metal chair??? Thanks to Aleesya for keeping us all occupied by running behind her and entertaining her. Poor girl didn't know what was happening.
My sister in law's contractions started kicking in from then and around 6pm onwards we could hear her screaming of and on. Which freaked me out alil. Not actually freaked me out, but more like I couldn't take it hearing her in so much of pain. She was screaming quite badly as time was nearing.. even Aleesya started notice her mum's scream and was asking us what was going on.
All we could was stand by the door and pray hard for her. I did tear alil though hehe but again was not out of fear. I had so much running in me at that point of time. I wondered how much our mothers go thru to bring us to this world and sometimes we intend to forget the amount the have done for us and hurt them.. and yet the would come back to us with a smiling face just amazes me...truly, mothers are one of God's amazing creations.
Ok ok no emo emo!!! Back to my SIL's labour story!!! So yeah as we all waited at around 6.20pm, we heard the nurse shout and say tell d doctor she's ready. And so the doctor arrives and walks in the room with a huge charming smile on his face...BTW his my gynae too *winks*
So yeah no doubts her screams did still continue and TADAAAAA at 6.56pm, it stopped and we could here a huge loud cry from my newly born nephew ♥♥♥♥
So yeah no doubts her screams did still continue and TADAAAAA at 6.56pm, it stopped and we could here a huge loud cry from my newly born nephew ♥♥♥♥
Awww we all started screaming out of joy haha being dramatic alil. Few minutes later they brought him out and my God !! Then is when I knew why was she screaming that much!! He was such a cute lil gundu laddu baby!!!!
Here's something I would like to share with u!!! Another indian pregnancy myth!!! People say that the 1st pregnancy always hurts more than the 2nd n so on!!! Today I learnt that that's crap!!! It purely depends on ur baby's weight and not on anything else!!!
During my SIL'S 1st delivery, there was not a tiny winy bit of sound from her. Only one loud AMMMMMMA at the end of her delivery. Please note WITH NO EPIDURAL !!! And for this delivery she was the opposite of her 1st. AGAIN WITHOUT EPIDURAL. The only difference was, Aleesya weighed about 2.56kg and this lil laddu weighs about 3kg plus. So it's purely about the weight of the baby I believe. Anyhow, I salute my sister in law and all the other ladies for going thru this!!! No joke!!!
Well now that she's done, it's my turn coming soon..!!! In spite of seeing my SIL'S labour, I am not freaked out or scared of my turn...it's not cos I can't feel her pain but it's simple because I have no way in backing out of this right so why sit and moan and grown about it?? BRING IT OUT !!! IM READY FOR IT hahaha!!! Besides, It's only the matter of hours of pain, the moment I heard our princess's cry and see her, I am pretty sure the pain would just vanish!!! Well it better do!!! ;-)
Well that's all for now, it's time I hit the bed as I'm freaking exhausted !!!
Oh yeah and FYI, Murali did make it on time before she delivered ;) and I know the fact that he can't wait for our turn hehe ♥

Shopping Tips !!!!!!
Since we fixed a budget on maternity & baby shopping !!! We did not unnecessarily buy stuffs, even though it was so tempting at times. I pretty sure all of us would be very excited while maternity or baby shopping. Especially if you are expecting you 1st baby which would lead you to over spending. Here's how we did our maternity & baby shopping with a budget.
1. MATERNITY CLOTHES
<3 Of course when you are pregnant especially for the 1st time, you immediately feel like wearing those cute maternity outfits and so on, even I was excited & I did get myself few outfits. Since wearing jeans is a NO NO during pregnancy I had to get some comfy pregnancy sweat pants for myself, So I got 2 pants, 3 tops & 1 dress. The outfits that I got are all re-usable after delivery. Hence, it's not a waste. I didn't find them cheap as well, nothing below RM 49.00.Those are the only outfits that I got myself, besides that I am able to wear most of my normal tops as I did not gain any weight.
<3 I had issues with my regular bra so I decided to get myself few good maternity bras, So I went to mOdernmum in bukit raja jusco. Nothing was less than RM 99.00. I got myself the cheapest one which was RM 99.00 . I thought of going again to buy another, but thank God I came across maternity bras in AEON it self, I got shocked to see Scarlet brand maternity bras from RM 15.00 on wards. Of course with no design or lace work, but who cares !!! The material seemed soft so I got myself 2 of it and guess what !!!!! It actually prefer the RM 15.00 ones than the RM 99.00 ones !! It was very soft and comfy. I'm in love with them. Now some of you may wonder if it's necessary to get maternity bras. Actually it's not ;) but if you experience any discomfort from your normal bras then it is. Besides, during breastfeeding the maternity bras would help alot more than normal bras simple because it has like a clip on each side in the front to make it easier to feed your baby. Which saves you the trouble from buckling and unbuckling the back of it.
P.S : IT'S ACTUALLY CALLED NURSING BRA lol !!!!!!
OK ok Let's move on to the baby's stuffs !!!
2. BABY'S CLOTHES
<3 As for baby's clothes I did check out a few places before getting them. I went from GM ( Wholesale Mall ) to Mother Care in Setia City Mall. The prices are almost the same, 4 sets of rompers for RM 130++
Which was alil pricey. I actually don't really fancy spending so much on newborn clothes simple because they would out grow super fast. Anyways I did get 1 - 2 sets of rompers from Mother Care, Which now I regret after getting a better buy from FOS !!!!! Can you believe it FOS sales newborn clothes ?! I didn't even know they do :p !!! In FOS for the same materials I got 3 sets of rompers for only RM 30.00 !!!! YES !!!! RM 30 !!! Can you see the differance ? RM130 - RM 30 ???? Phewwwwwww ok *positive vibes in* on the other hand thank God The rompers that I got from Mother Care were all big size, 3-6mos or more !!! So Im happy bout it.!
for immediate use outfits I got them from FIFFY & MANJAKU for about RM 8.90 each. Those are the full white ones.
P.S : FOS pricing was not during SALE time !!! That's their normal price !!!!
3. MILK BOTTLES
<3 When I went to the milk bottle section I was so shocked seeing the prices of the milk bottles !!!!!!!! RM 100.00 ++ each ?! Whattttttt??? It says that expensive ones nipples are similar to mother's nipples !!! Now here's what I feel, the baby would get use to whatever we introduce to them !!! It's not that only the ones similar to original nipples would work !!!! I didn't go for any branded milk bottles by the way !!
4. BREAST PUMP
<3 I would suggest never to rush and invest on a breast pump simply because it is super expensive !!! Plus some may not work for you! So do alot of research before getting yourself one! I'm yet to get mine as well, but it's better to buy and keep it so that you could pump of the milk & store it for a rainy day !! Maybe one a day where you are working or down with fever or so on !
5. OTHER ACCESSORIES / ITEMS
<3 Other accessories / items which are consider secondary needs can be put to hold. Such as nursing scarf, baby pouch & so on. I didn't buy any secondary needs yet.
6. SECOND HAND ITEMS
<3 Thanks to my dad for buying my niece a cradle when she was born which was hardly use. So yes !!!!! I get that for my lil princess, which means I saved alil there. Try to find some 2nd hand items like so as you could save alot from there but we careful & give it extra checks before getting it.
7. BABY PRAM
<3 I have not the baby pram yet !!! As obviously for the 1st month the baby ain't going anywhere !! So I'll wait and see if I get this as a gift :p if not then I'll get her one like the above pic !!! That pram is for infants as well as toddlers plus you could use it a carrier. I find that cool !!!
Quick Tips : Do Not Get ALL the baby's items in a selected colour ( Pink or Blue ) so that you could reuse it for your next baby.
Do Not Over buy Things as you many get many gifts from friends & families, wait and see
what are the gifts received and then decide to buy what you want.
Well That's all !!!! Hope my shopping tips helps you <3

What's In My Hospital Bag ???!
Taaaaaaa Daaaaaaaaaaa !!!! I finally bought a huge bag to pack mine & baby's stuff for the hospital. Got the bag from FOS. It was RM 49.00 but lucky me when during their "happy hour sale" and got it for about RM 35.00 !! Which was a pretty good deal. The bag is really huge and there's space for ample of things in it !!!
So yeah !! From the moment I entered my 7th month, my mum has been telling me to pack a bag and keep in case of any "emergency". I didn't find myself any suitable bag until last month, So the moment I got the bag, I started to pack all my stuffs and our lil bundle of joy's stuff as well. I did watch some videos on you tube on how some ladies packed their bags for their delivery... I found some carrying to much of stuffs.
According to the doctor my stay would be almost a day or two. So I decided to pack just enough for a day or two. If I ever need anything extra, I'm sure my husband would get it for me since our home is not far away from the hospital.
I would like to share with you on What's In My Hospital Bag so that it may help you during your time ;)
So here are the items I packed !!!
For Myself <3
3 Sarongs
3 Baggy T'shirts ( got them from FOS too !! RM13 each ) super baggy & comfy
My maternity bra & panties
A light weight towel
A woolen sweater ( got it from Cotton On ) also super comfy !!!
2 Pairs of woolen long socks
1 Pack of maternity pads ( The hospital will be providing it but I'm just taking a pack just in case )
A few pairs of breast pads
Tooth brush
Colgate
Johnsons & Johnsons travel kit ( Inclusive of powder, shampoo, baby bath & lotion )
Vicks
Minyak Cap Kapar
Lip balm ( I read that our lips would get very dried after delivery )
A small comb
Hair Band
and yeah I guess that's it.
As for my lil princess <3
I was told that the hospital does not allow own clothes for the babies.
So till we are in the hospital she will be wearing the hospital cloths.
I only packed
2 sets of full rompers with matching mittens & booties ( for her trip back home )
a cap
a baby stomach binder
a baby wrapper
2 diapers
a baby towel
and that's it, this is only for her discharge use as throughout our stay in the hospital, Her cloths & diapers would be provided by the hospital.
That's pretty much everything packed in the bag. Packing the bag in advance is so much easier, as you don't have to rush last minute.
Like my bag is packed and placed in a cabinet near the door in case of any emergency I could just grab the bag and get going ;)
I hope my list of things packed would help all other pregnant ladies out there <3

The Mr.Ly Challenge !!!!!!!
Pregnancy is NO EASY thing !!!You would be challenged by "MR.LY" !! LOL !!! Wondering who on earth is "MR.LY" ?? That's Physically, Mentally & Financially oh yeahh and the MOTHER OF ALL !! EMOTIONALLY !!! So either you should be prepared to meet Mr. LY OR handle it with a STRONG MIND !!!
As for me, my pregnancy was not really "planned" which obviously mean I was NOT PREPARED in all ways !! I didn't know that MR.LY would be paying me challenging visit !! So Yeah....
MY 1ST TRIMESTER ( The Physical Challenge )
During My 1st Trimester I experienced "morning sickness" like many other pregnant woman would do. I would I really bad, but !!! Now after alot of reading and meeting other pregnant ladies, I find mine was "not so bad". I did have vomiting, almost every mornings the moment I placed my tooth brush into my mouth I would puke !!! So that was horrible !!! Of course you can't avoid brushing you teeth !! LOL !! So yeah I had to deal with that every mornings. Travelling for long hours made me vomit, nausea & sick. I had no appetite for any food, I would crave for something & the moment I see the food that I have been craving for, I would lose my appetite. Which leaded to tremendous weight lost !! I was never a fan of "KARVADU" / dried fish, but looking at it and smelling it didn't make any harm to me !!! BUT DURING MY 1ST TRIMESTER, the smell of it would immediately make me puke.
I was really physically lazy, de-motivated, my hormones way swing from one end to the other !!! I basically was going GAGA !!!
* POSITIVE VIBES TIPS *
- If you are having the same symptoms that I had, here are some tips that I could note down that I only realized now :P
1. Always be happy that your "morning sickness" is not as bad as many other pregnant woman out there.
2. Never bring in negativity vibes into you.
3. If you on the heavy side and you are losing weight !!! Be super happy !!! Don't worry that it may harm your baby !!! If you are on the light side and you are losing weight !!! Again Don't worry !!! You will gain back easily in your 3rd Trimester !!!
MY 2ND TRIMESTER ( The Mental Challenge )
After the 1st 3 months of the roller coaster ride !!! I felt like I was in heaven during my 2nd TRIMESTER. Of course with some bumpy clouds off and on.. During my 2nd Trimester, I got back my appetite, of course not my normal appetite but something better then nothing. LOL !!! I was super fit physically !! I use to sweep and mob the house and also wash the porch with full spirit !!! I was the opposite of what I was during the 1st Trimester !! Not only Physically but even Mentally !!! Yeap as much as I became physically fit in my 2nd Trimester, I became Mentally unfit LOL. I had terrible mood swings, I would really rude at times, and then wonder why the hell did I do that? My emotions were taking control of my entire body !!! I became like some sort of possessed piece huhuhu. Towards the end of my 2nd Trimester I started building up my mental strength, I became more positive & strong. I did alot of reading about pregnancy on the internet, I had wonderful young mummies to support me.
* POSITIVE VIBES TIPS *
1. Be happy you are out of your 1st Trimester.
2. Enjoy eating whatever you love to, If you are a Indian !!! You would be even super lucky as everyone would be volunteering to cook for you. So this is the chance !!! Make good use of it !
3. Do not let your emotions take control of you !! I started doing alot of praying and chanting of mantras to keep my mind strong.
4. Try listening to soothing music or maybe treating yourself once in awhile with a good SPA TREATMENT. ( I don't Recommend going for massages during your pregnancy, but you could always go for a good facial treatment, or get your hair or nails done )
5. If you are into yoga and meditation. Go for it !
MY 3RD TRIMESTER ( The Financial Challenge )
Kuddos to me !!! I somehow got over the Physical & Mental Challenge hehehe !!!!!
I became much more stronger mentally !!! More like a Iron woman !! Throw a stone at me and see it bouncing back at you !!! Ohhhhhhhh Yeahhhhhhh !!! lol don't freak out !!!!!! I'm just super happy that I manage to stay strong and come this far !!! Of course once in awhile a small emotional moment or a mood swing, but I was able to over come & manage it by myself and not show it on others !!! "well I guess I didn't*
Everytime I had to go thru mood swings or emotional break down. I would lock ma self in the room alone and listen to some soothing relaxation music or some holy mantras. I started doing some simple physical exercises and also breathing exercise !!! As it is said to help you have a normal delivery and a easy one. So yeah talking about normal delivery !! I am so into having a normal one as WE financially can't afford such a huge amount on a C Section !!!! This is not the only financial issue you will be facing.
Though my husband is a government servant and medical is all FREE for us. I don't wish to delivery in a gov hospital for many reasons. So since I choose to go to a private hospital, I have to pay !!!
The monthly doctor's fees would end up being double and triple during your 3rd Trimester because your visits will be even more frequent towards the delivery date.
Besides the medical expenses, getting baby stuffs is another expenditure that you would be facing, As for me I cut short alot of unwanted expenditure. * Thanks to my mum * She kept on reminding me on not to exceed my budget. If you had a sum prepared already "before your pregnancy" then well and good for you. If not 3rd Trimester would turn out to be alil stressful !!! The key for you to over come this is buy not over spending and buy not buying unnecessary items.
So yeah 3rd Trimester is mostly about financially issues !!! Besides that you would have minor back, body aches, leg swelling or cramps, and so on !! Do not take that as a huge issue...Your baby bump would be super activate by now, causing you to have sudden jerks and waves in your tummy. It may hurt sometimes, especially towards your uterus area, Just take it easy !!! The Finale is yet to come *winks*
* POSITIVE VIBES TIPS *
1. Stay strong at all times,
2, Whenever you have aches or "false contractions" pains, always do the breathing exercise !! Trust me it helps !!! Take a deep breath in thru your nose and exhale thru your mouth. Imagine that your are throwing away the pain as u exhale, by you doing this it also diverts your mind from the aches or pains that you are having.
3. Set a budget on your expenses for your lil bundle of joy. If this is your 1st kid even more you would be tempted to buy alot of things. Try to minimize your expenditure.
4. Cash for your delivery and baby shopping should be saved from the beginning of your pregnancy.
5. Start buying the baby stuffs lil by lil so that you don't feel the pinch.
6. Everytime u get an unbearable pain or ache, bare in mind that you are just few weeks away from meeting your lil bundle of joy !!!
7. Do alot of prayers !!! This is the time of most that God will be by you.
P.S : Thanks to my Financial fear, it has motivated me to get up n do some exercise as there is NO CHANCE of me going in for C Section !!!!!!!!!
As for me, my pregnancy was not really "planned" which obviously mean I was NOT PREPARED in all ways !! I didn't know that MR.LY would be paying me challenging visit !! So Yeah....

* POSITIVE VIBES TIPS *

Messed up Hormones
I'm 34 weeks now and day by day I'm becoming super emotional & my moods are swing from EAST to WEST all the time... huhuhu !!! I really pity people around me especially my husband. So much of drama by me. Sometimes I myself don't know what's my problem haha... I'm thinking too much as the day gets closer as I'm planning to settle everything before going in for labour.
I have started getting "false contractions" almost once a day. It's normal to have those now as long as it doesn't get much intense. Every time I get it, it's spoils my mood & makes me restless. Nothing much about the pain but it's more of a discomfort. So whenever I get it, I prefer to be on the bed. Sometimes I just listen to some relaxation music or mantras just to keep my self & lil princess calm.
I get very edgy & irritated very fast. Sometimes I know my husband would be wondering if he should talk to me or even touch me hehehe...I get this great back ache often followed by rib bone ache when I sit up straight for too long. Sometimes I get bonus !!! Leg cramps or prickiness under my feet !!!!!
Well as for today, it's been raining heavily and the weather is so cold, I just had a super warm awesome shower !!! NO ACHES "so far" So I decide to sit down & update this blog.
So yeah...as I said, I'm 34 weeks now & I have 5 weeks and 5 days left till our lil princess arrives. Preparations for her arrival is almost done. I have finally packed mine & her things for the hospital.
Indian Pregnancy Myths !!!
I am not sure if it's just the hindu or does the other religion have all this "pantang" (restrictions). There is so many Don'ts while you are pregnant !!! Not that I am not a cultural person, I am, but there should be a reasonable reason to it. Many elderly people come up to me saying shouldn't do this and that while you are pregnant, but most of them do not have a proper explanation to it. Some of the restrictions that were followed back then maybe due to their living style & habits back then which is totally different now but it's IMPOSSIBLE for you to make a point with the elders most of the time !
4. The Turtle & The Rabbit Race
This maybe one of the common ones most of u might have heard !!!!!!!!
Aunty Ji : So r u expecting a boy or a girl betta ?
Here's some of the restrictions that I have "so far" come across :-
1. The Indian Saint Hairstyle
During Pregnancy our hair & nail growth is super fast due to the hormonal changes in our body, with the current heat & sudden water issue here I can not manage with long hair, further more having super thick hair.
& for the speed of the growth of the nails & hair if we stay without chopping them off, we would end up like a indian "samiyar" LOL.
2. The Bug's Life
Again as said above, during pregnancy our hair growth speeds up then normal, so can you imagine if you leave your eyebrows for 9 months without trimming it, you would end up having the whole crew of "Bug's Life" beneath it .....!!!!!!!
3. No Pre Shopping !!
I heard this from a friend who recently delivered, that the elders in the family did not allow her to go for baby shopping before she delivered as it's not good to buy & keep the things !!! Well I started buying little by little since last month ( The 6th Month ). From my point of view, when i bought things little by little I really didn't feel the pinch in the expenses. Baby's things are seriously NOT CHEAP ! Plus, In my situation, me being not able to depend on anyone & if I am going to buy things after I deliver, It's ridiculous !
4. The Turtle & The Rabbit Race
This maybe one of the common ones most of u might have heard !!!!!!!!
Aunty Ji : So r u expecting a boy or a girl betta ?
Preggy Mum : I'm Expecting a girl aunty.
Aunty Ji : Ah that's so sweetttttttttttttttttttt !!! When r u due ?
Preggy Mum : 10th of May.
Aunty Ji : Betta baby girl always end up popping out later !! Baby boy is always much earlier then the due date.. !!!!!!! So don't expect the baby anytime before the 10th of May na !!!
Preggy Mum : urmmm ?!
Well my question is Baby Boy or Baby Girl, they take the same process of being formed and so on for the 9 months. So WHAT BELIEVE IS THIS THAT BABY BOY COMES OUT FASTER THAN A BABY GIRL?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have seen baby boys being over due & baby girls being earlier than their due date...
Is this a Turtle & Rabbit Race ??? Boy 1st Girl 2nd ?! Oh God :/

32 Week UPDATE !!!!!!
Time is passing tremendously FAST !!! We are now in our 32nd week !!!! My monthly check up has become 2 weeks once!! Visited my Gynae yesterday, finally I got a slight glance of my lil princess's face, not very clear but atleast something as she has always been hiding her face everytime we do a scan. Everything seems to be going on well in there. Doctor gave me a "ANTI TETANUS" Jab. Apparently the jab is to protect me & lil princess and also helps to prevent premature delivery. Well it's not a painful one but for some reason my arm hurts till now!!! LoL
I have already started arranging lil princess's clothes in her tiny lil cupboard, looks like I'll be needing another cupboard as well. Shopping for her never seems to be over.I have already packed her bag for the hospital. Mine is yet to be packed !! I have couple of things to get for me... I need to get myself few pairs of socks & a good sweater and I'm done.
Today I feel alil more bloated, and my lil princess seems to be getting more active. Her movements are increasing day by day even more when I talk. Sometimes I feel her near my rib bone. She just seems to be occupying the whole place haha.

Valaikappu aka Bangle Ceremony
On the 20th of April 2014, My parents organized my "Valaikaapu Ceremony" which literally means "Bangle Ceremony" which is the hindu version of "Baby Shower". I don't have much knowledge about this ceremony..but here's little of what I know :
Valaikaapu is a ceremony held during the 7th or 9th month of pregnancy to bless her pregnancy and ensure a safe delivery. Elder women would put glass bangles on the mother-to-be's hands & apply turmeric paste on her face. The bangles should be worn till delivery. There's a belief that the sound of the glass bangles would keep the baby calm. This ceremony is normally done only for the 1st pregnancy.
So mine was held on a Sunday morning at my parent's residence, I had to wear my wedding saree. The whole ceremony was practically like my pre wedding nallugu only difference was I had my husband by my side haha. The ceremony went on well until the made me stand and bend forward balancing both my hands on coconut while the poured milk on my spine, apparently it's suppose to show if you would have a normal delivery or a cesarean!! " I HAVE NO IDEA HOW THAT WORKS".
